grades are in...

So close to a 4.0, it is a 3.92...I can handle one A-. I am rather pleased with my scores, I hope I can continue with high scores for the rest of my program.

tagged...7 random things...

1. After we are all settled, me and my old college roommates are going to open a restaurant named, Franchesca's, after Mollie's painting that hung in our living room. We have even started the menu!

2. Before moving to NY I had never visited anywhere east of Grand Junction, Colorado.

3. My dad voted for Reagan the day I was born--also my dad's 21st birthday.

4. My husband only calls me babycakes when we are arguing and he wants to get my attention.

5. When I was homesick while I was doing my undergrad, I checked out "The Little Engine That Could" from the children's library and read it because my mom always read it to me when I was little.
6. I used to count every step I took on stairs until about 3 months ago (a little OCD, eh?)

7. When I was anorexic, there were 2 things I would eat...whole milk and spoonfuls of shortening dipped in sugar. Disgusting, I know. I can't believe I did that.

nothing to do and loving it

Skyler and I both finished our last finals on Tuesday. It was great to finish at the same time. We went to lunch to celebrate and then to see Spiderman 3 (thanks to LexisNexis). It was great to just enjoy time together and not have any specific plans.

Skyler hasn't been able to keep track of which day it is since school finished up. It is pretty interesting to watch him try to figure out what to do with free time. We went to a dinner party with a bunch of law students on Wednesday and had friends over to watch a movie. Then we spent Thursday throwing a bbq for all of the LDS law families and friends. It was fun but sad to have to say goodbye to all of our law friends for the summer.

Today has been great. I haven't done anything productive all day long. Skyler has been reading all day for the writing competition, but I have been able to relax after work and lounge around the house. The only thing I have to accomplish today is 30mins of working out! I have to cherish this free time because it will all come to an end on Wednesday.

online portfolio

I spent the entire day yesterday designing my online portfolio for my master's program. I think it is starting to look pretty spiffy. Take a look around and tell me what you think.

What is on tap for this lovely Sabbath day? Maybe a stroll around a park since it is so beautiful outside. But mostly a lot of of relaxing and quality time together so we can rejuvenate and be ready for our exams this week.

friday night apart...

Sky and I spent the afternoon together after he finished his exam. We made dinner together and now Sky is at the law school studying for his next exam and I am home working on my web portfolio for Monday.

Nights like this I have to remember how great it is to be married even though we are crazy busy and can't just cuddle in front of a movie together--so I took a quick look at some of our wedding pictures--those always remind me of how much I love life.

What a perfect day!

Something fun I found out this week...my grandparents are on their 4th mission! They sent in their papers and not a second later they received their call to Indianapolis, Indiana and were asked to report a couple of weeks later. They are in the MTC now and will head for Indiana soon. What a great example--4 missions! I am sure they will love Indiana. Not to mention, I am excited that they are only going to be 10 hours away instead of 40!

popcorn popping...

The blossoms are finally here in Ithaca and it is gorgeous---not "gorges". Since they have all come out I have had the primary song "popcorn popping" stuck in my head. What a fun spring song, Chelsea and I have taught it to our nursery school kids and they all love it, actions and all.

While enjoying Spring Sky & I have each been preparing for finals. Sky has his CrimLaw final tomorrow and I have my huge website presentation on Monday. Luckily the end is in sight-- we only have to make it until next Tuesday!!!

crazy weekend...

So last week was so busy that I couldn't even fathom getting all of my work done before going to Utah. But, somehow I finished it all--no sleeping during the flights or wasting time in the airport.

Natalie & Jack's wedding was beautiful. I am so glad that I was able to go be a part of it all and spend time with all of my best friends. It was such a special wedding and everything seemed to move rather smoothly. Natalie and Jack seemed so happy and we all were able to enjoy the different wedding events.

I also really enjoyed spending time with Becca--we were able to hang out and just relax and enjoy being sisters out on our own. It was so great to be in Utah again and be reminded of why I loved my undergrad so much and come back to New York feeling closer to the girls.

We were kind to the car...it looked so cute!
