Saturday morning we colored Easter eggs at home. Savannah was quite impressed that we were allowed to do such a crazy thing.
Saturday afternoon we traveled to Enumclaw to spend the holiday with Krystiahna, my dad, and Colton on Krystiahna's ranch. It was nice to get out of town a bit. Savvy loved the tractors (sad I didn't get any pics) and warmed up to the ponies after watching the other children play with them.
Most importantly we are grateful for the meaning of the holiday and enjoyed taking extra time as a family to reflect on and explain the importance of the resurrection to Savannah. She has now started to say, "Jesus helps us to be happy" when the time is right and continues to be very excited to say her prayers several times a day. The other day in traffic I was anxious we were going to be late to something and she said, "It be fine, Mom. Heavenly Father help us be on time. Jesus loves us." A tender reminder to keep a positive and faithful perspective. I am grateful for her sweet spirit and the innocent faith that she has at such a young age.
